Friday night saw a flurry of activity at The Heath, as some of the Boroughs finest minds converged on the club. Quizzers desperately fought to get a table, as they sought to secure 1 of the most coveted titles, anywhere in the Universe. Considering the incredible collection of intellect on display, a great night of mental stimulation was promised. Having taken an early lead, the bizarrely named Frally Knickers, pulled further and further ahead, before clutching victory by some margin. Captain Paul, likened his victory to that of fellow Hackney Carriage driver, Fred Housego, who bagged the Mastermind title in 1980. Not only did our incredible winners show the Runners, Tennisers and Hockyers what us Cricketers are made of but they also walked away with 1 of the most incredible bits of Chintz to ever grace the surface of the Earth. Joe Cockers photo in a frame surrounded by blue illuminated balls really was a thing of beauty and something to behold!!! So huge congratulations to our winners (pictured) and of course,as is always the case, all of our quizzers were handsomely fed, and our thanks go to Jacqui and Chis for the lovely curry.
