Upon arrival at this lovely ground Barks forgot the football again leaving us with hand hockey and Umar having no shins as he did anything to protect the stump.
Hamster won the toss and surprisingly bat after we were 180-20 in the past 2 weeks, a fast start including wickets left us 60-3. Ganny and Hamster put on a valuable 70 runs with ganny patting it back and Hamster going ham.
But after 1/2 wickets another mini Heath collapsed happened. With losing 3 quick wickets for not many. G and Ciaran put on 40/50 ticking it over looking good. After G’s dismissal me and spud got 2 seeds back to back leaving us 193 all out.
Ten defense couldn’t have started worse will 4 below average spells and a poor fielding display (lead by spuds drop and him shepherding the ball to the boundary) they 80 for no loss. G and Umar dragged it back massively getting 3 quick wickets turning the game on its head. Iffy came back taking a few quick wickets leaving the game in the balance. Hamster entered the attack removing their skipper and the set batsman on 50 leaving them 3 to chase in the last over with Umar to bowl.
After 2 dots the ball was hit to Bob Marley at cover who very elegantly looped the ball into the stumps and ran over wagging his finger up and down. GANNY. The Heath came back from down and out to end the winless run in a tight game thanks to a good second half bowling display and a Hamster 65.
