2nd XI vs Broadstairs 2nd XI

After a late call up for myself as Dad was being a melt we quickly “won” the toss by the oppo being late was handy. Sammy picked one up early got us off to a good start, then after a few boundaries one going road bound off myself the danger man missed one when one was actually bowled straight! Then runs stopped besides wides! Jack, ganny, subo and Matt kept it tight ish as the persisted with patting it back to the bowler for 30 + over! Some questionable fielding from John in the ring and subos attempt of stopping runs on the boundary was slightly comical, the oppo got 118 all out with Jack picking up 4 being the star.
The runs flowed quickly with Ali gaining some early boundaries after being chirped out coz he can only play “disgusting” shots. Jon told himself he had time and then chipped one to point the next ball, ganny and Ali scored some quick boundaries building a decent partnership. Barks and Rav built for a little while until Barks found the only fielder who can catch and Jack got bounced out by a medium pacer. (Embarrassing). Bill and Jack saw us home 5 down with Jack getting 22*. And Ali’s 42 being the a decent knock to see us win very comfortable.
