2nd XI vs Canterbury

With the downpour on Friday, it was a crucial toss to win, which we lost and were asked to bat on a pudding.

We struggled to come to terms with the conditions but thanks to 42 extras managed to post a very below par score of 109.

It would require a very disciplined and luck on our side performance. Thankfully we had both. Bowlers rose to the occasion and fielders backed them up, leaving Canterbury requiring 30 odd for the last wicket, a few drops and aggressive batting from their last two batsmen got them within 10 runs, but with his 3rd catch standing up, Megsy to a snick off Ganny, and we could go into our rest week, still in a promotion position, enjoy the rest and well played!
