2s vs Gravesend

After a win in our last game to Canterbury, the Heath were looking to carry on the same way with a tough fixture against Gravesend.

Captain, Sam Montgomery, won the toss and elected to bat first on a rock solid surface. The top 6 hung in there for the full 50 overs with Ravi Patel and Jack Aldred putting on a fantastic 106 partnership with Ravi scoring 61 and Jack with 46. With this game changing partnership, the Heath finished on a respectable score of 186.

With half of the job done it was then the bowlers turn to come out and finish the job. The bowlers carried on in the same fashion with Matt Wilson taking 4 wickets in his first spell and Jack Aldred coming on to slow the run rate down. However, Gravesend hung in there with a dangerous looking partnership from their number 6 and 7 batsmen. However, it wasn’t to be enough as Bexleyheath bowled out Gravesend for 138 in just under 42 overs.

Overall a convincing win for Bexleyheath, who take on Bickley park next week.
