Match report written by Martin Jonker

Heath 3 XI V Blackheath 3 XI
The morning of the game started off on a bright note with Skip driving past the ground to find the covers were on.
That alleviates the fears of yet another soggy inconstant pitch for a change.
True to above he pitch did look quite good when we got there.
The first thing we won on the day was the toss an Hughsey put us in to bat
M M and Wilkesy started us off with Mike falling putting us at 16/1 after 5.
Nelly entered to keep Wilkesy company as he steadied the ship playing some lovely cuts for 4 and took us to 40/2 of 15.
Good thing we batted cause at this point is about when Ali And Bilal turned up to the ground leisurely strolling round the boundary having gone to the wrong ground first.
Skip was up and in a mood to not repeat earlier games this season and a 101 run partnership ensued with some measured and when warranted bludgeoned shots he fell for 69 and Wilkesy not long after for a rolling the years back knock of 57.
Jonks was determined to not bat 10 again and played a measured knock making 58 not out of 22 balls. Wasting 6 valuable dots in the process and with Harry hittng a four or two as well ended the heath innings on 219.
If Blackheath didn’t have enough of Jonks at that point Hughsey let him open the bowling and the oppo were 0/1 in the first over.
Jonks and Ali got us through to the 18th over and the oppo 69/5 in the process with a lovely stomach catch from Harry and some fingertip stuf for Steve in the slips.
They Regularly lost wickets with Amit getting 2 and Mr Fantasy mananger Sulove picking up the last 3 with some verly good overs and loads of double fantady points in the process.
It was what we always thought we could achieve as a team. A close to a perfect game as we could get. No Silly giving our wickets away. Good ground fielding. Almost all catches held onto ( Skip)

Lets keep this going for the remainder and we will be a tough side to beat.
Man of the match Jonks.
