Our fixture against Dulwich was dull and gloomy but the cricket was anything but!!
We won the toss and elected to bowl first. This was a team that was third in the league and had a record of scoring 200+ runs so we had to be on our game. Some great bowling from our openers, Alijan and Felicio, meant we had them panicked at 44-4. Their middle order dug in and while we couldn’t take the wickets they couldn’t score. Tibbsy and Ryan holding them back. The breakthrough finally came in the 33rd over and then their tail end came in and swung the bat finally finishing all out for 138 after 39 overs. Some sublime bowling and fielding from the whole team meant this was by far the highlight of the season so far.
Our innings got off to a roaring start even though we lost a few early wickets. Ganny was the stand out bat steering us to victory with a very sensible 64 whilst Rhino steadied the other end and set the platform for our victory. A very well deserved victory for sure. The return fixture will be interesting that’s for sure.
