4th XI vs Hayes

The first proper sunny Saturday, perfect for cricket...

After last seasons defeat I decided to bat first. Those who played know the pain. As the title suggests our batting was very slow and kind of steady. We lasted the 40 overs and made Hayes suffer in the heat of the day. Their bowling attack was fairly decent, but I suppose it would be when they don’t have a 3rd XI and some 2nd XI players were playing. M&M top scored with 25 not out.

Reaching 89 at the end of our innings it was time for us to bowl. Our bowling didn’t start off the greatest and it was quite clear that I should never ever open the bowling again. Hayes managed to reach our total in 15 overs with Ahsan getting the only wicket.
