4th XI vs Orpington

It started off so well with Jonker & Frisby opening the bowling for the Heath, picking up a couple wickets along the way. Alijan & Bilal came on as the first change and bowled okay picking up again a couple of wickets. Bilal was on a hat-trick at one point!!

We had the oppo 81-6 after 22 overs (ish) and then we let it slip big time… The opposition ended up reaching 230 runs. A quick scoring batsmen began to take advantage of our bowling attack. Alijan bowling a few too many beamers and having to be taken off meant the skipper had to join the attack. The skipper managed to get the quick scoring batsmen out for a match winning 70 odd runs.

Our innings started off slow but steady with a boundary coming every so often. Then bang!! The wickets began to fall. SMG was the pick of the batsmen hitting a lovely 29 runs, well done Sam. Jonker had a brief stink at the crease which was entertaining while it lasted. We finished on a total of 129, it could of been a very tight match but unfortunately it slipped through our fingers!!

On to a bottom of the table clash with Dulwich next week. Come on the 4s!!!
