Our best performance yet!!!

The Heath decided to bat first managing to reach a total of 62 with Ryan top scoring for the 4s on his debut. It was clear from our innings that it was extremely difficult to bat on this wicket with the ball staying low no matter where it was pitched. A special mention to Dave who managed to stay at the crease for much of our innings while the rest of us kept him company for short periods of time.

On to our bowling and fielding - which was superb by the way. Joy and Felicio opened the bowling attack and after 4 overs managed to take 3 wickets. All 3 wickets involved cracking catches from Tom, Gunvir and Dave. The perfect start to the innings. Very tidy overs from Joy, Felicio, Tom and Gunvir led to 2 more wickets before drinks. Unfortunately, after drinks the opposition batsmen dug deep with only 1 more wicket falling to Will, however the bowlers and fielders made them work for every single run. A run out not given by their umpire and deliveries skimming the stumps nearly turned the game into our favour, but it was not to be.

It wasn’t the result that we hoped for, but it was definitely our best performance of the season.
