4s vs Old Colfes

After a few cancelled games due to the weather, it was nice to play cricket in the sun. As the title suggests we had a very young side with Inderveer and Rohan making their debuts for the 4s.
I lost the toss and the opposition decided to bat first. Joy and Idrees opened the bowling attack for the 4s. Both bowled well. Gunvir and Inderveer were the next bowlers into the attack. They bowled a combined 10 overs for 27 runs and picked up 2 wickets, what a spell from these two!! After this 10 over spell Rohan and Will were the next bowlers into the attack. Both picked up a wicket each. I came into the attacked and I must say I bowled okay. Joy came back into the attack late on and picked up another wicket.
A moment of pure embarrassment from myself when I dropped Jack Woods twice and then let one go through my legs for 4. This summed up our fielding performance which was quite sloppy. The opposition finishing on 182-5.
I am not too sure how to sum up our batting performance. Short & sweet might be best. The highlight for me was Dave running out father and son in the same innings. We managed to reach 62.
It wasn’t to be guys. Well done youngsters!!
