4s vs Catford & Cyphers

What a time to be alive!! At the start of the week the weather forecast looked very questionable and playing on the Saturday looked in doubt. Thankfully, the game went ahead. The game reduced to 35 overs each just in case.
I lost the toss and the opposition decided to bat first. My reliable openers, Joy & Felicio managed to get a wicket each within the first 10 overs. The first bowling change brought H & Alijan to the bowling attack. I believe that within the next 5 overs these two managed to pick up 3 or 4 wickets, including Harry’s 250th Heath wicket. Probably the easiest catch I will ever make. These two picked up 3 wickets each before Joy came back on to remove the last 2 batsmen. Harry, Alijan & Joy all picking up 3 wickets each and Felicio taking the other. The opposition finished on 115 from 29 overs.
On to our batting innings. We opened with Wilksey and M&M who took their time and put away the bad balls. Once their wickets fell in came Dave & Danny to the crease. Both took their time to build their innings, running well between the wickets and putting away the bad ball. With 2 overs left of our innings they finished it off reaching Catford’s score. Dave finishing on 44 not out and Danny finishing on 38 not out. My only criticism is that we took it down to the wire and that really did not help the nerves haha.

Hopefully, this win will give us some momentum moving forward.
