Well its good to be back and its great to start with a win against the old enemy. I think this was a solid all round performance by a well balanced team.
Playing on a very difficult strip which made wicket keeping very difficult, the bowling and fielding were of a very standard. Louie's 3 for 7 would normally be a star event, but he was spectacularly over shadowed by a young man making his debut for the 13A team. Musa's figures of 1.4 overs 5 for 5 are amazing and if I had not agreed to a no LBW rule because the opposition umpire wasnt sure how it worked he would without doubt had a hat trick.....sorry Musa.
Our batting got off to a sticky start with Artharva getting an unplayable pea roller, but Louie and Santosh steadied the ship and with Louie looking more and more dominant the scoreboard rattled along.
Louie retiring for a very classy 25 started a typical Heath wobble but with the ever watchful Santosh playing some lovely shots the lads got home with the loss of 5 wickets.
A good start to the season but with room for improvement and now on to Old Elthamians next week.
Well done team
