This is probably the hardest report I have written this season, how do you describe the heights this team have reached this season?
They are a really formidable team, we bring in three younger players for what could have been an awkward fixture and they all perform amazingly. I have to say Musa always wants to bowl, a great attribute, Yuv playing his first game for the club, and although he only bowled one over his fielding was solid and crucial in saving runs, and finally Ollie playing his first game for the 13A bowled superbly.
It is impossible to not mention Arnav. His bowling this season has been nothing short of sensational, accuracy is his greatest skill, never giving batsmen anything to hit with an excellent economy rate. Again Alfie bowled with frightening pace, Bobby was very unlucky not to take a wicket in a superb opening spell and then spin king Charl mops up the middle order leaving Artharva to mop up the tail.
In a effort to give everybody a game Charl changed the normal batting order and to be honest it backfired a bit. I have to say in the players defense some of them have batted so little in matches that it was a bit unfair, but I fully supported his decision.
Having lost 4 wickets very cheaply it was left to Charl and Bobby to see us home.
I have to say the hardest part this year has been trying to keep all of the players happy. I fully understand that they all want to bat and bowl, but this season has been so successful it has not always been possible, but I must emphasise this is a team, a very very good team and every player has contributed to the success.
Thank you once again to all our supporters, you really make a difference to the boys.
Congratulations to a brilliant group of players.
