Top of the table clash

This is probably one of the hardest reports I have had to write.

Where to start? We win the toss and ask Elthamians to bat first, superb opening spell from Bobby taking a wicket in his first over but the opposition responded and the Heath putting in there worst fielding performance of the season coupled with some moderate batting meant we were chasing a healthy 138 to win.
Have to mention Bobby with stunning figures of 3 for 4 and a great catch by Tommy being the highlights.

I have to say that this is definitely the strongest bowling team we have faced all season.

We got off to another solid start with Santosh playing brilliantly, rotating the strike and punishing the bad ball. We lost Artharva to a stunning catch by the keeper and then losing Santosh and Louie in quick succession, both to very dubious behaviour from the other coach (enough said).
Then the turning point, in came Bobby and smashed his way very quickly to 26, playing cultured shots, but hitting the ball extremely hard. in partnership with Charl they changed to course of the match with Charl retiring for 26 also.

Winning this game was as much about self belief and cricketing ability. I was hugely impressed with the team performance and the commitment we showed.

I have never been so annoyed with another teams coach. Comments made to our players, very dubious decisions which I find hard to swallow. The last thing I want is for my players to be upset and unhappy playing for the club and I know some were tonight.

Anyway moving forward, we have another tough game on Friday and we will need to raise our game again for this challenge.
