A great team performance

Another game another great all round team performance.

Freddie lost the toss and we were invited to bat first. The new opening partnership of Artharva and Anikith got us off to a steady start, great running between the wickets kept the scoreboard ticking over before both started playing shots. Artharva retiring on 27 and Anikith retiring on 25. Jake and Oliver came together and again great running combined with some belligerent batting moved the scoreboard along. Jake fell to a ball that kept low which brought Captain Freddie to the wicket. Again the running between the wickets was superb before both cut loose. Freddie retiring on 26. Oliver and Arnav finished the innings, Oliver carrying his bat for a very well made 23 not out and Arnav hitting his 2 balls faced both for 4.

Our fielding was of a very good standard, Arnav taking a stunning catch closely followed by Jake with an equally good low catch. The twins proved a very effective opening partnership. Both taking a wicket a piece. Musa and Alfie both bowled well, Alfie bowling some very quick deliveries.
The wickets were then shared round, 2 for Musa including 2 in 2 balls, 2 for Oliver, 2 for Freddie and 1 for Anikith.

I would also like to congratulate Ben on a great wicketkeeping display. The bounce was slightly indifferent and some of our bowling did not make things easy. He showed great commitment and bravery and some great skill as well.

We move on next to a home game with Greenwich next week.
