A Professional Performance

Before I get to the game I would like to thank all the parents for getting the boys to the game today, I fully appreciate the commitment you show to the club and to the boys, your support is amazing.

Well, how do I sum that game up? Very one-sided? Very professional? Very convincing? All apply and all show how well the boys played.

Losing the toss and being asked to bat with only 8 fielders was a bit daunting, but I have to thank the Greenwich coach for lending us two fielders until our District players arrived. Once again the twins opened the bowling, both being accurate and hard to get away. Wickets fell with alarming regularity, but to highlight the bowling, Jake's figures of 3 for 6, Musa's 2 for 4 and Freddie's 2 for 5 were all very impressive. A great run out with a direct hit from Musa and a good high catch from Arnav were the fielding high points. I would also like to mention Nihaal, who made his debut for the u13's his keeping was brilliant, wicketkeeping at the Heath is always a challenge and especially on the u13 wicket, I was very impressed.

As I said to the boys you have to concentrate whatever the standard of the opposition and we will have sterner tests ahead, but this was another comprehensive win. Well played everyone.
