Performance of the season - So Far

The previous match reports have been fairly down beat and not really included huge positives.

That changes with this report, this was one of the best team performances I have been involved during all the years I have been coaching. The main point I want to emphasis is the brilliant spirit and never say die attitude I witnessed tonight. The whole team gave 100% and as a coach I cant ask for anymore and I am extremely proud of the whole team tonight.

If I pick out every positive point from tonight the report will be pages long so I will pick out some of the more outstanding performances. Firstly I would like to highlight Charl's captaincy it is one of the hardest jobs to do and a thankless task trying to keep everyone happy. He excelled tonight both with his bowling and captaincy and made this a great game to watch. Our senior support section in the field Aidan was at his vocal best never letting the levels drop and continually encouraging and driving the team with his positivity.

Out batting was again led by a cultured 25 retired from Artharva and cameos from Louie and Charl both perishing trying to up the run rate at the end of the innings with the Heath finally finishing on 98 for 4.

Our bowling and fielding were again top class, the pick being Abi taking 3 for 12 in 3 pressurised overs at the end of the innings. I must also mention the spin twins of Louie and Charl. Louie bowling 4 overs and taking 2 for 7 and Charl bowling 4 overs taking 2 for 11.

The boys could not have tried any harder and the level of commitment was extraordinary. They were all fed up at losing but we must take the positives from this performance against another strong Sidcup side.
