With the Heath being without any recognised coach, it was up to 4 dads to pull together and do the warm ups, score and umpire! Would it go horribly wrong!!
Old Wilsonians won the toss and decided to put the Heath into bat. They might have been thinking this was the wrong idea after both opening batters of Suchet and Atharva retired on 20 not out with some lovely shots between them.
Aniketh, not to be outdone, followed them in and also was retired, but this time on a quick fire 22! Noah and Amelia batted very well in the middle order and showed some great running between the wickets to keep the score ticking over, Noah being bowled for 13 and Amelia carrying her bat on 12. The Heath finished on a very healthy score of 146 after the 20 overs.

On to the bowling, Aniketh obviously had somewhere to be, as he set off to remove the Old Wilsonian’s batters as quick as he could. After a blistering 3 wickets in his first over, he followed it up with 2 in his second over, finishing with figures of 5-5!
Noah and Suchet followed up this bowling with 1 and 2 wickets respectively, to keep the wickets falling.
All of the Heath team continued to bowl very well and restricted the Old Wilsonian’s batters to very few runs. Special mention to Jaiden with not one but two fantastic run outs! Old Wilsonian’s were bowled out for a score of 62.

An all round fantastic team performance that they should all be very proud of!

Maybe a job or two for the dads too!
