3. BHCC - Colts Cricket

BHCC are proud to boast a thriving and incredibly successful colts section running 7 teams at various age groups as well as Mini Super 8's and the ECB's All Stars initiative.

Mini Super 8's is aimed at boys and girls in school years 3 & 4 predominantly playing softball tournament cricket, although there will be an opportunity to be introduced to the hard ball version of the game.

Our under 11's provide league match opportunities for colts in school years 3 to 6.

Our under 13's compete in the North Kent Junior League for colts in years 7 & 8. Both of our U13 in the 2016 won their respective League titles

The Heaths under 15's have one team for those in years 9 & 10. They play their league games on a Sunday morning. Not only did they win their league in 2016 but they also won the coveted Genese Cup.

The under 17's have one team playing on Friday evenings for players in years 11 & 12.

The Under 19's have 1 side playing Midweek

All colts home fixtures take place at The Heath.

In recent years, The Heath has seen a dramatic increase in its number of Colts as well as huge success in all Colts competitions. This success is without doubt due to an outstanding array of ECB qualified coaches that are committed to developing our young players. As well as the weekly training session, Colts have the opportunity to take part in Summer Cricket Courses, take part in tournament cricket and attend indoor and outdoor net sessions at Bexley Grammar School.

Such is the talent amongst our Colts that many also represent Bexley District. Further testament to the superb group of coaches that we have at the Heath. This coming season 13 of our boys will be playing district cricket at various age groups, along with 8 of our senior colts attending the Bexley District Academy.

The Heath is incredibly proud to boast several of our Colts who are currently representing Kent in their respective age groups.

As well as playing the magnificent game, we at The Heath actively encourage our Colts to participate in the ECB Young Leaders programme. Colts aged 14 and over are eligible to participate in this valuable course where they are taught Umpiring, Groundsmanship, Scoring, Coaching and First Aid. Colts that successfully complete the course are invited to a presentation event at none other than the Home of Cricket itself, Lords.
